Summary

The Plane Android app needs to show custom fields and properties associated with all relevant work items, just like it does on the web. This means text, numbers, dropdowns, dates, etc; should all be visible and editable directly in the task view. This would allow the mobile app to handle the full project schema instead of only showing basic details like status or priority which didn't serve high level and detailed operations.

Why should this be worked on?

The failure to display custom fields and properties in the issue view, makes it impossible to see or edit the data that actually runs a project. This forces a move to mobile browsers just to check basic info like budget codes or technical specs, which kills momentum and creates a massive gap between the web and mobile experience. For any real project management, the app needs to be able to read and write custom data, not just show system defaults. Without this, the native app is basically just a notification viewer instead of a functional tool for people working away from a desk.

Unfortunately, I can no longer use Plane effectively because my work requires managing tasks in real time from mobile while traveling or on client calls. I intended to purchase the premium version, but this limitation has halted that investment. Native mobile functionality was a required criterion for my platform selection, and I cannot build my operations on Plane without full parity for custom fields. Unless the mobile app can actually read and edit these properties, I will have to move my business to a different platform.
